Today’s reason to love Sightline

Pretty much every day there is a new reason to love Sightline.org, and here’s today’s:

How much does gas cost us?

How much does gas cost us?

A chart that combines all kinds of awesomeness in to one juicy package: the rising cost of gas, the failure of the minimum wage to keep up with real prices, the impact of unsustainable transportation modes on the median family, and the ridiculous allocation of incentives to executives at the expense of everyone else.

And you know? They don’t just point out problems, they measure Cascadia’s progress towards sustainability and offer fun, workable and brainy solutions.

Did you know they invented the term “green-collar jobs”? (Well, Wikipedia doesn’t seem to know that, but… trust me!)

Anyway, if you haven’t browsed around their website, you should do so. Whenever I feel a little gloomy about the environment, climate change, rampant wealth polarization, etc., I mosey over there and get cheered up.

I haven’t blogged about Sightline for a while, and they have a nifty new video demonstrating how much highway you free up by getting people out of cars and into buses.

Sightline.org… they’re so dreamy!
